Kokkinos Pyrgos (Greek for “Red Tower”) is situated in mid-south Crete. It is a seaside resort, between Matala and Agia Galini. It overlooks the Libyan Sea, Agia Galini and the small islands of “Paximadia”. The climate in the region is quite warm. In front of the village, there is a very long sandy beach, with shallow waters, equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. In the surrounding area, there are a lot of archaeological sites, picturesque routes and landscapes, as well as small taverns, where you can taste delicious traditional Cretan dishes.
